As a more curvy girl, a never felt confident or beautiful in an oversized sweater. I always felt like a was a round giant ball walking around town when I wanted to rock this look. Since I’ve gotten much more confident fashion wise I don’t really look at the sweaters that way. I think they are the best solution for the days when you just feel “blah” but you still have to run around and do errands. They are a great piece because they are so easy to accessorise. To look more put together just put over a cool jacket, billions of rings, necklaces or even just a simple scarf. I’m just in love with the new scarf trend!
When I was a freshman in high school I always used to wear these little scarfs and a lot of people thought my style was a bit grandma-ish. I couldn’t agree more with that one.. I think I always had a different perspective on clothes than other girls. When they were wearing shorts and crop tops, I was wearing floral dresses, grandma sweaters, scarfs and tunics. Let’s just say I wasn’t really the eye catching girl in the room. But that didn’t matter. I felt cool and fashionable even though I looked like shit most of the time haha.
I think I have evolved a lot trough the years and so has my style and also my attitude. I really don’t give a f*** what people think about what I’m wearing. If I love it, I’m going to wear it. If I look fat, small, weird. I DON’T CARE. I think that this kind of attitude really helps you when you are trying to discover your own style. Without listening to others and just listen to the little voice in that head of yours. You are never going to evolve on a personal level if you keep playing it safe and never putting yourself out there. Fashion should be more than just what you throw on in the morning, it should tell a story. Your story!
