Dressing up is not just choosing an outfit, but also everything that goes with it. You can’t have a perfect outfit with the wrong shoes or even with the wrong hairstyle. When you’re trying to create an awesome attire you need to look at it from a different perspective. It’s not about what would look best on someone else but you have to put in on, try it out and figure out what looks best on you.
I always plan my outfits in my head and think that I really did a great job, but when I put it on, it never looks the way its supposed to. I think the best way to plan an entire outfit is to try on a lot of different options and than figure out what works best for you and if something looks a little too baggy, just add a belt or tie a scarf around your waits. You can be very creative with your outfits and you don’t always have to wear something the way it’s meant to be worn. I always try to experiment with my looks, even if just a little. You always have to put your own twist to your looks to create that signature style.
I don’t really like dresses that are too thigh but just right, and I love it when they are cinched at the waist because I love the hour glass figure look.
I paired my simple mesh dress with my dads old army shirt that was way too big but I was determined to make it work. Because I’m a little more on the petit side I always like to roll up my sleeves to add a little more length to my arms, and because I don’t want to look like a big bag of potatoes I added a silky black scarf and tie it around my waist.
Last but not least are the accessories, but I’m not just talking about the jewellery because sometimes it’s just not that important. The most important thing are the shoes and the hair. We always just put on the first pair of shoes we find and put are hair in a pony tail and run out the door. I’m not saying that it is a bad thing because some days you just don’t have the time to think about that, but when you do, you really must invest time in great hair and even greater shoe choice.
