Lately I’ve been figuring out how to defeat my bad state of mind and I have also been dealing with a little form of depression. Dealing with all this brought a lot of negative energy into my life and instead of dealing with it I just slept it off. I think I overslept my high school years haha.
I could never figure out why I was so unhappy and without any energy, I literally felt like a zombie. Last year I decided to turn my life around and started to live a more healthy life style and that really helped with getting my mind sorted. Don’t get me wrong, when you start eating right and exercising you instantly feel better but If your head is not in it you can never achieve your goals. So my primary task was to see how to get myself into the right place and understand my complicated brain. It’s not easy dealing with daily problems if you don’t have any self confidence and you easily get discouraged in every single thing you try to do.
I feel like getting stronger as a person is the number one thing! Knowing when to stand up for yourself and keep on trying when life is getting you down. You also need to keep your mind at ease with all the craziness going around. And the one thing that will help you do that is YOU time! A small break from life with just you and your favorite cup of tea or coffee. I find ME time the best thing in my day! It’s the time when I just lay in my bed, sip my tea, and look around. Sometimes I watch birds nesting outside my window or neighbors hanging their wet clothes, sometimes I just stare at my wall! I know that might sound funny but it is the most relaxing thing in the world.
Me time is about relaxing, reflecting and recharging. It is not selfish to love yourself, to take care of yourself and to make your happiness a priority. It’s necessary!
